Once you've perished from a specific cause, they will become aware of your escape plan, and you will no longer be able to use that particular method to leave your prison. To keep progressing, you must continuously find new ways to die, and the generated dungeon will adapt based on the cause of your death!

Death Mechanics

To keep track of your death history, you can check the log in the advancements screen. The log categorizes your deaths into entity-caused deaths, such as being attacked by a piglin, and environmental deaths, like drowning. These categories are only updated when you enter a new dungeon, so dying within the dungeon will not count towards them.

There are four distinct death scenarios:

• When you die outside of the dungeon in a way you haven't before, you will be transported into a newly generated dungeon with all your items.
• When you die outside of the dungeon in a manner you've experienced before, you'll respawn normally, but with your inventory intact.
• If you die inside the dungeon without reaching the exit, you'll respawn at your spawn point and lose all your items.
• If you die inside the dungeon after reaching the exit, you'll respawn at your spawn point with your items.

The Dungeon

Upon dying, you will respawn in a new dimension known as the Edge of Death. The dungeon's design is based on your cause of death, so be prepared to face challenges related to your demise. For example, if you drowned, expect some swimming! Your objective in this dungeon is to make it to the end without dying and destroy the crystal. If you succeed, you'll be able to choose from three Otherworldly reward items and be safely transported back home.

Otherworldly Items

Completing the dungeon grants you access to the following items:

• Star-Spangled Eyes: A helmet that helps you locate nearby buried ores.
• Impulse Vector: A wand that propels you in the direction you're looking, using Essence of Dawn as fuel.
• Essence of Dawn: A mysterious resource used to power the Impulse Vector.
• Infernal Bodkin: Essentially a chunk loader, allowing you to keep chunks loaded even when you're not present.
