The data pack is compatible with Minecraft versions from 1.16 to 1.20 and brings a host of changes to Piglins and Piglin Brutes, making your adventures in the Nether more challenging and engaging.

Key Features and Benefits

Piglin Brute's New Stats

• HP ♥️: Reduced from 50 (25 hearts) to 20 (10 hearts)
• Armor 🛡️: Now equipped with random Golden and Netherite Armor
• Weapon ⚔️: Golden Axe (70% chance) or Netherite Axe (30% chance)
• Attack Damage 🩸:
• Golden Axe 🪓: 13 (6.5 hearts)
• Netherite Axe 🪓: 16 (8 hearts)
• Spawns naturally in Bastion Remnants
• Alerts nearby Piglins about your presence when you enter their bastion

NOTE: Piglin Brutes will never drop any armor or weapon on death to maintain game balance. They will only drop their death loot, which is mentioned further.

Piglin's New Stats

• HP ♥️: Increased from 16 (8 hearts) to 20 (10 hearts)
• Protects and respects you if you wear their golden armor uniform
• Cannot be distracted by gold ingots when in attack mode
• Piglins alerted by Piglin Brutes will attack you, regardless of your golden armor
• Hunts Hoglins more often
• Sometimes threatens you instead of attacking, if you are not wearing gold armor
• Instantly detects any entity that wants to attack them

NOTE: Piglins will no longer have a permanent anger memory of recognizing players.

Zombified Piglin's New Stats

• Hostile to Piglins and players, just like real zombies
• A chance to convert Piglins into zombies, depending on game difficulty

NOTE: Zombified Piglins and Zoglins are restricted from spawning as first mobs of the Nether to avoid accidental spawning in restricted areas like bastions and Nether forests.

New Death Loot Tables

• Piglin: 1-2 Gold Nuggets
• Piglin Brute: 1-2 Gold Ingots, 1 Golden Carrot

NOTE: The Looting Enchantment will not work on Golden Carrots dropped by Piglin Brutes.

New Game Mechanics

• Piglin Brutes naturally spawn in Bastion Remnants
• Hoglins are restricted from spawning in Piglin Brute territories
• Zombified Piglins and Zoglins are restricted from spawning near Piglin Brute territories
• Zombified Piglins and Zoglins are restricted from spawning in Crimson and Warped forests
• Zombified Piglins and Zoglins have a higher chance to spawn as baby variants

NOTE: These features will not work if there is a player within 8 blocks to avoid inconvenience. Spectators do not count as players in this case.

How to Install and Use Rebalanced Piglins

1. Open your .minecraft directory
2. Place the data pack into the saves/world_name/datapacks directory

With the Rebalanced Piglins data pack, you'll experience a more challenging and engaging Minecraft gameplay. Piglin Brutes will have the same power and protection as before, but their stats will make more sense, making it more reasonable to defeat them. Piglins will be more intelligent, and killing them and Piglin Brutes will be more rewarding due to the modified death loot tables. The Nether will make more sense with the new Piglin and Zombified Piglin conversions.

While it may be more challenging to loot a Bastion Remnant, the enhanced gameplay experience offered by the Rebalanced Piglins data pack is worth it.
