1.20 Functions Other Recipes Advancements Magic Structures Predicates Loot Tables

Hello, Minecraft enthusiasts! Today, I'm thrilled to share with you an exciting data pack that I've recently discovered, created by the talented Eifach_naJ. It's called Abilitycards, and it's a game-changer!

Abilitycards introduces a new dimension to your Minecraft experience by adding cards with powerful effects. And when I say powerful, I mean out of this world! This data pack is not just about the theme; it's about the unique gameplay elements it brings to the table.

In this data pack, you can find a booster pack in one of four new structures. Each booster pack contains three random cards with different abilities. And if luck is on your side, you might even find a loot card!

The cards are categorized into three types:

  • Traps: These cards can be placed on the ground and trigger when someone approaches, including yourself.
  • Normal: These cards are usually triggered by a right-click to activate their effects.
  • Loot: Loot cards contain items from dungeons. They can be found in a booster pack with a small chance.

Normally, a card disappears after you use it. However, the card deck automatically stores one of each card when you use them, except for loot cards.

The only challenge is that you can only draw a random card every 30 seconds. So, strategizing when to use your cards becomes an essential part of the gameplay.

The card deck is the only craftable item in this data pack. It's a unique feature that adds a new layer of complexity to your Minecraft experience.

Here's a list of some of the cards and their effects:

  • Dimensionhole: This card allows you to send entities through a portal. By sneaking, you can set the first portal, and with a right-click, you can set the second.
  • Dragonlauncher: This card summons a dragon that explodes after a few seconds. It's a powerful card, so use it wisely!
  • Protectionwall: This card raises the ground to create a wall to protect you. Air is replaced with cobblestone.
  • Lightspear: This card shoots a spear of light at the opponent. It's a bit buggy at the moment, but it's still a formidable weapon.
  • Rocketrain: This card creates a hail of rockets. It's advised not to use it in closed rooms.
  • Shockwave: This card creates a blast wave around you that throws everyone away.
  • Useless Card: Well, I think the name says it all. But who knows, it might come in handy someday!

I've had a blast exploring this data pack, and I'm sure you will too. It adds a new layer of strategy and excitement to the game we all love. So, why not give it a try?
